Do you struggle with setting and creating a goal? Don’t know where to start and need an mini easy guide to set and creating to get started?
In this post I am sharing steps to setting a goal to an example of how to turn that goal into a more manageable targets for you to get closer to achieving your goal.
step 1. What do I want to achieve?
This can be from anything that you find that is important. What is a priority that you need to work on that will make your life easy?
Is it your health?
– Do you need to eat better?
– Exercise?
Is it your finances?
– Do you need to save money?
– or pay of debt?
is it get a job?
– Do you need employment to have your basic necessity to be met?
Whatever it is, what are you priority right now that you will set your mind to it?!
step 2. YOUR WHY?
Next thing you want to do is to ask yourself a serious question to WHY you want to achieve this goal? What or how is achieving that particululiar goal to help you? What will it do for you?
Asking a deeper questions will weed out the excuses you probably already have and/or will have in future. When you know WHY achieving this goal is important for you because it perhaps can change your life, you will have no excuses not to do it. And the reasons sometimes does not have to be complicated but there has to be a motivations.
Do not skip this step, it is crucial for when the going gets tough and you want to quit. It is the why- the reason behind why you doing what you must be doing during your mid-processs.
Your why will be your push and easy way to get started.
step 3. Use Visualisation to achieve your goal
For an extra kick to get it all started with the goal, you need visualisation. Visualisation helps to stimulate the feelings and vision of what it could look like or feel like when you achieve your goal. Call it manifestation, call it whatever you want. But one thing is certain, romantisizing your goal is quick easy way to do it.
Get obsessed with it, make it your target and set your tunnel vision on and get to work!!
step 4. How you going to do this?
So you know your goal, you established your why and you already started to romanticize it all. Now, we get to the final peace that will support this goal for you and that is creating that goal into bite sizes.
These bitsizes, I prefer to call them targets. Targets are super easy and effective ways to achieving it.
Here is an prime example of creating your target and hitting it. Let’s use an example of paying off debt.
target 1: examinate your incoming and outgoings.
target 2: cancels subscription that you don’t need.
target 3: What can you save?
Target 4: start the 5 dollar or x dollar challenge
Target 4: take extra shift?
Target 5: start an second temp job to bring extra money.
The main purpose of targets like the example shown above is that you start with one and continue with the next target once you have hit/reach them. It is an much efficient and smart way to eliminate overwhelm and much easier way to accomplishing any goals.
I hope this has helped and give you the good start to get started. Is there anything you would have added? Tell me what are you struggles? For anything always feel free to comment
