I have had plenty morning routines throughout my lifetime, but now at mid 30’s life has changed drastically and I am pretty happy with the way my feminine morning routine is set up in this season. It is a routine that I crafted through many trials and fails into a fool proof that makes me feel grounded, soft and in my power. I don’t feel rushed but productive.
Use my morning routine as an inspiration, motivation and an insight to craft your very own feminine morning routine.
Here is exactly what I do, step by step.
Wake up at 6AM – Discipline is soft power
The most important thing you need to set for yourself is a time schedule that you wake up consistently. For me this is waking up at 6 am. It is a perfect fit for my lifestyle and schedule due to family life and work related. It give me good enough time to do everything without ever feeling overwhelmed.
Drink water – I ditched morning coffee, here’s why
Now don’t get me wrong I absolutely LOVE drinking my coffee first thing i wake up to and leave the house. But I am realizing this is the very first reason why I feel sluggish and actually one of the cause of my weight gain. So instead, I drink water. This has made significant difference for how I feel in the morning and delay much I can even when I am at work.
I keep my water bottle with me at all times
Stretch or light yoga – Connect to your body first
I can’t emphasize how amazing and difference it makes to stretch your body. Juggling so many responsibilities all the time and at once, tension in my body are present. So by doing every morning when I wake up to stretch, I can feel the tension lighten my body and I feel much relaxer.
This is purely coming after years of chronic stress and finally giving in and go for this method. I now advocate and recommend every one to do so! the difference it makes for your body!!

Shower – A ritual to refresh my mind
I cant leave the house without having a quick shower. Showering for me is like showing love to my whole being by cleansing it and I feel SO good throughout the day that I actually showered. A busy lifestyle that has me in constant movement, crowded places or whatnot I always feel so glad I showered. Feeling clean feels so damn good!
Skincare routine – Soft skin, soft energy
As I get older, I see changes in my body. But truth to be told, I have always been more of a skincare girl than make up. My favorite right now are KIEHL products .
I never skip my morning skincare routine as I see so much good it does for my skin.
Get dressed intentionally – Overdressing for myself only
I dress to make myself feel better. Now, I have to admit the online world will have you feel sometimes to the point what is the point? And i do admit I do not like the constant feeling I need to overdress. And if you feel that way, please take a break from it all!!
But here is the thing, your intention is the most important thing and one that makes the difference. Do it for you, not for male gaze nor the female gaze. Do it for your own. This makes me feel better.
Hair & light makeup – The feminine finishing touch
Now, I am a hijabi. But my hair still needs to be taken care of!! I have been straightening my hair on and off for a year now and each time I do it it has always made me feel better. I feel good and it truly shows on my face, body language despite the fact NO ONE can see my hair. But here is the thing, i saw it and later today I will see it again. And because of that! It is SO worth it to still do my hair. I Oil my hair after showing with this amazing hair oil product.

Regarding Make up:
I use my bobby brown skintint make up for my every day. Especially when I am at work, I like to wear this as it isn’t too heavy. I make sure I dont apply too much but enough for me too see a bit of a difference.
I also LOVE using my Nars Amande concealer for my under eye and around my mouth area. It blends beautifully with my skin.
Healthy breakfast – Fuel that feels good
This year I have been dabbling making changes for my breakfast. Sometimes I skip or delay my breakfast. But there are also times where I felt I need to fuel my body with protein. I eat greek yoghurt and boiled eggs and I am good to go!
Or sometimes I have omelet with some cheese and I am good to go!
Now, you know what I do for my morning routine. I don’t always do it perfectly, sometimes I skip my stretching but will never back down for a shower though.
What helps me with my routine the most is that I have non negotiables. Such as waking up at 6 AM at latest and showering. When it comes to your morning routine, I can’t emphasize how VITAL your non negotiables are. they are the ones who will safe you and always make the difference. then add few ones to make it fit for your likings!
You deserve to feel soft, powerful and in control before you enter the world with their demands. Spoil yourself first thing in the morning, before you pour yourself to the world. You are worth it!!
